A  PROPOSED

SCIENCE  INFORMATION  CIRCULATION

NONPROFIT  FOUNDATION

Latest  Update:   December 18,  2011

This Web page has been created to serve as a collection and display area for information regarding
a proposed, new, privately funded science information related nonprofit foundation.

Some of that foundation's most important work would involve collecting, evaluating, prioritizing, and then circulating
information regarding problems that threaten the health and well-being of people around the world.

THE  IMPORTANCE  OF  ACCURATE  SCIENCE  INFORMATION

There is a single group of physical laws that control how everything in our universe works.  And it can be a matter of life and death that governments, nongovernmental organizations, and independent science and medical researchers and workers have access to accurate information regarding the nature of those universal laws.  Those organizations and people also need to have access to information regarding how those universal laws apply to various important efforts such as the generation and distribution of environmentally safe and affordable energy.

There are innumerable organizations around the world that are attempting to make that type of science information available to governments and independent researchers etc. Unfortunately, at times the information that those science information circulation organizations are making available is inaccurate because they themselves are suffering from some combination of the following serious problems:

1.  They don't have adequate funding to effectively do that type of work.

2.  Staff members of the organization don't have the necessary knowledge or training to effectively do that type of work.

3.  The information circulation organization is being forced, or at least strongly encouraged, to circulate only science related information that is "Politically Correct."

Politically Correct Information Can Be Information That Could Be Limited To:

--- Only  information that is consistent with the goals of the government of the country where
the science information circulation organization is based.

--- Only  information that is acceptable to the majority of major world governments.

--- Only  information that is acceptable to influential members of the international scientific community.

An example of an organization that this present Web page author believes is playing an immeasurably admirable and vitally important role in efforts to circulate science information to people around the world, but also an organization that is unfortunately being forced to deal largely with Politically Correct types of science information is the American nonprofit Wikipedia Foundation.

It is this Web page author's belief that because the Wikipedia Web Site is funded at least in part by donations from the general public, the people running the Wikipedia Foundation feel that it is important that they not circulate certain types of science information that might upset the general public or upset large segments of the international scientific community.  As a consequence, this Web page author believes that the overall picture that the Wikipedia Web Site presents regarding certain areas of science can be incomplete, misleading, and at times even frighteningly inaccurate.

FUTURE  VERSIONS  OF  THIS  PRESENT
SCIENCE  INFORMATION  CIRCULATION  WEB  PAGE

Future versions of this Web page will attempt to provide examples of how easy it is for inaccurate science information to be circulated widely and then be almost universally accepted.  Those Web pages will explain how even large, globally active science organizations can at times circulate inaccurate science information.  And the Web pages will explain why scientists associated with those global organizations might actually believe that the inaccurate information that their organizations are circulating is in fact accurate.

Future versions of this Web page will also provide a detailed picture of how this proposed science information circulation related nonprofit foundation would need to operate.  It would be important that the foundation have a high level of immunity to interference from any of the innumerable number of Special Interest Groups around the world.  Examples of such groups might be private corporations that are knowingly and willingly damaging the environment.  Those corporations might not want accurate science information to be circulated regarding what they are doing as that could affect their profits.
